Kessena Ringland is a singer-songwriter from Manchester, now based in Liverpool. She is a vocalist, guitarist, and harpist and her music resides mainly in the folk genre. A dark, haunting ambience helps intensify the emotional soundscapes she produces that highlight the ideologies of surrender, dependency, and devotion. Her soft, but skilled accompaniment provides the perfect foil for her mesmerising voice which conveys the honesty of the lyrics.

 

Her inspirations include Wardruna, Kalandra, Enya, and Aurora, however, she strives to create her own unique style to depict her unique mind.

 

Such is her versatility as a natural performer that not only has she gigged as a solo artist performing at events such as The Amy Winehouse Foundation for Mitch Winehouse, but she has also performed as a duo and with a top-line jazz quartet.
